TEMP EXHAUST Trading Guide

Last updated: March 12, 2026

The Temporal Exhaustion Decay indicator introduces the dimension of Time into structural trading. It calculates the velocity and distance of a primary impulse wave, and compares it against the subsequent correction. If a correction takes significantly more time but achieves very little price movement, the opposing side is considered "Exhausted," generating highly accurate sniper entries.

What does the indicator show?

  • Exhaustion Zones (Colored Background): The background will illuminate green (Bullish Exhaustion) or red (Bearish Exhaustion) while the correction is mathematically dragging on too long without breaking critical price levels.
    • Green Background: Bears are taking too long to push price down. Anticipate a Bullish continuation.
    • Red Background: Bulls are bleeding time on a weak bounce. Anticipate a Bearish continuation.
  • TEMP BUY / TEMP SELL: Distinct markers painted right at the exact candle where exhaustion is confirmed AND the micro-structure breaks in the direction of the main trend.

Key Settings

  • Macro / Micro Pivot Length: Controls the sensitivity of the global trend (Macro) vs the local trigger (Micro).
  • Time Multiplier (T_corr / T_imp): The core parameter. If set to 2.0, a correction must take twice as many candles as the initial impulse to be flagged as "exhausted."
  • Max Retracement (%): The maximum allowed depth of a correction. If price dumps more than 50% (default), it's a deep structural shift, not temporal exhaustion.

How to use Strategy Parameters (Condition Source)

Within the Strategy Tester module, you can leverage both the background state and the sniper triggers.

1. Sniper Entries

The absolute optimal moment to enter.

  • buySignal — Triggers when the bearish correction hits the Temporal Time limit under the retracement threshold, and price immediately breaks micro-structure upwards.
  • sellSignal — Triggers when a weak bullish bounce exhausts its time multiplier and breaks down.

Strategy Example: Set your trend-following bot to enter exclusively when buySignal is true to ensure you enter exactly as the dip-buyers lose steam.

2. Background Exhaustion State

A continuous true/false state while time is dragging.

  • bullExhausted / bearExhausted — Evaluates to 1 (true) whenever the current wave is mathematically out of time.
