The Volume Gravity Short/Long is a macro overlay indicator that splits price-volume data into two independent Volume Weighted Average Price (VWAP) lines. By classifying volume into buy-side and sell-side components candle-by-candle, it highlights where the center of gravity lies for bulls and bears respectively.

Core Concept

Unlike standard VWAP which aggregates all volume together, Volume Gravity separates volume using the "Early Strong Levels" signed volume model:

• Bullish candles (Close > Open) allocate their entire volume to the Long/Buy VWAP.
• Bearish candles (Close < Open) allocate their entire volume to the Short/Sell VWAP.
• Doji candles (Close = Open) inherit the volume side from the most recent directional candle.

It then computes two independent rolling VWAP lines over the configured Macro Period (default: 300 bars):

VWAP = Sum(Typical Price * Split Volume) / Sum(Split Volume)

What does the indicator show?

• Long/Buy VWAP (Green Line): The average execution price weighted exclusively by bullish volume, serving as strong support in uptrends.
• Short/Sell VWAP (Red Line): The average execution price weighted exclusively by bearish volume, serving as strong resistance in downtrends.

Trading Strategies

• Gravity Crossovers: A crossover of the Long VWAP above the Short VWAP indicates a major shift to buy-side dominance (Bullish). Conversely, a crossover of the Long VWAP below the Short VWAP indicates sell-side dominance (Bearish).
• Gravity Cloud Pullback: The space between the two lines represents the "Gravity Cloud." During strong trends, price often pulls back to this cloud, presenting high-probability entries in the direction of the dominant trend.
• Trend Identification: Price trading above both VWAP lines indicates strong bullish momentum, while price trading below both lines indicates strong bearish momentum.
